The On the Front Line Award honors an person or program from outside the APHL membership who has made significant contributions to the advancement of public health laboratory science and/or practice. This could be a public health program leader, a state health official, a federal agency, or other individuals or entities that have supported the critical needs of public health laboratories.

The winner will be honored during the awards breakfast at APHL's Annual Meeting.
